Applications for Türkiye’s 2026–2027 KYK scholarships and student loans opened on October 12, 2026. The Ministry of Youth and Sports announced that applications will be accepted through e-Devlet until Friday, October 16, at 23:59 Türkiye time.
Students can also correct their submitted information through e-Devlet until the same deadline. The practical priority is to check the education record before submitting, because inaccurate or incomplete study information can invalidate an application.
The official application link
Use the ministry’s Burs / Öğrenim Kredisi Başvurusu service on e-Devlet. The service requires identity authentication. The official portal handles the application; this article provides a guide and does not collect students’ personal information.
- Sign in to your own e-Devlet account.
- Open the scholarship/student-loan application service.
- Check the university, programme and education details shown in your record.
- Complete the requested information accurately and confirm submission through the portal.
- If a correction is needed, update the information before October 16 at 23:59.
Who can apply?
The opening announcement covers students newly admitted to higher education in 2026–2027, continuing students and Turkish citizens studying abroad. Application availability does not remove the programme’s eligibility rules.
The official general-information page lists foreign nationals among those who cannot receive these KYK scholarships or loans. Enrolment at a Turkish university alone therefore does not establish eligibility. Applicants should check the ministry’s complete conditions for their citizenship and study status.
A scholarship and a loan are different
The ministry defines a scholarship as non-repayable assistance, while a student loan is borrowed funding that must be repaid under its rules. Read the result and any undertaking carefully so that you understand which form of support is being offered.
What if the education record is wrong?
The ministry directs students with incorrect or missing study information to contact their university’s student affairs office to have the record corrected. It warns that applications containing incorrect or incomplete education information will be invalid.
For application problems, the announced support channels are ALO GSB: 444 0 472, available around the clock, and the ministry’s @KYK_DESTEK support account on X.
Applications and awards are separate stages. Meeting the deadline submits a request for evaluation; it does not itself guarantee a scholarship or confirm a payment amount.
