Turkey Gasoline Discount Delayed: October 19 Price Cut and Current Pump Prices

When is the gasoline discount expected?

The expected gasoline price cut in Türkiye has been delayed. A report published by KARAR on October 17, 2026 says sector estimates now point to a reduction of about TRY 4.37 per litre during the night of Monday, October 19, into Tuesday, October 20. The cut was initially estimated at TRY 5.65 and expected sooner. This is an industry estimate, not a confirmed pump-price order, and the amount or timing can change with international refined-product prices and exchange rates.

Why was the estimate revised?

Volatility in Mediterranean refined-product prices led to a smaller expected cut and a later date, according to the report. No corresponding new price change was forecast for diesel or LPG at the time of publication.

Estimated prices in major cities

Using the October 17 prices reported by KARAR, a full TRY 4.37 reduction would put gasoline at roughly TRY 80.33 per litre on Istanbul’s European side, TRY 80.13 on its Asian side, TRY 81.33 in Ankara and TRY 81.53 in İzmir. Actual prices can vary by distributor and station.

What drivers should know

The expected reduction is not yet a guaranteed final tariff. Check the displayed price at your local station before filling up, and treat these figures as estimates until distributors publish confirmed prices.
